The incident unfolded in a residential area near Ormond Beach Elementary School, raising concerns for public safety and school security.
Two of the four subjects were quickly located and detained with the assistance of VSO deputies. One of the individuals was found on the grounds of Ormond Beach Elementary, triggering a rapid and precautionary response from law enforcement. Although the school was not placed on lockdown, deputies maintained a visible presence to ensure the safety of students and staff while the situation was resolved.
Upon detainment, both individuals were identified as being in the United States unlawfully.
