DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — An 11-year-old boy was taken into custody after allegedly making a violent threat against his school on social media, according to law enforcement officials.

Jesse McIntyre, a student at Campbell Middle School, was arrested after the FBI alerted local authorities to a disturbing comment he posted on TikTok. In the comment, McIntyre reportedly threatened to "shoot up" the school and referenced specific staff members.

Police responded swiftly to McIntyre’s residence, where they conducted an investigation and determined that the child did not have access to any weapons. Despite the lack of immediate danger, officials emphasized the seriousness of the threat.

McIntyre was transported to the Family Resource Center for processing. Authorities have not released further details about potential charges or disciplinary actions.

Law enforcement officials continue to urge parents and guardians to monitor their children's online activity and to report any suspicious behavior.
